Jack Dyer (Cpt. Blood):
Jack Dyer was a well known football star who played for Richmond Football Club in the early 30s utill the late 40s.
He played 312 including games, he kicked 443 goals and won 2 premierships. He died in 2003.
Joseph (Squizzy) Taylor:
Squizzy was a well know Melbourne criminal, but he was mainly based in Richmond. He was a part of many criminal gangs. He was born on the 29 of June 1888 and was a part of horse racing. He was part of race fixing illegal bets on horse racing. Squizzy also had a major part of selling illegal alcohol and drugs. Joseph Docker:
Joseph Docker was a Parserles who came to Australia for a better life. He migrated from England to Australia in 1828 with his family and cattle sheep and even a boat. When Joseph got here, he bought 50 acres of land for £975. In 1839, Docker and his nephew subdivided Richmond and Clifton Hill. After they subdivided it, they built houses on it. They were taking advantage of the high increase of people after they had come to Victoria for the gold rush. Dock owned 57 houses in 1857.
